Red Bandhani
A fluid, maxi-length silhouette defined by a sculptural twist at the center of the body. Cut in a modal-silk blend, the Sutra Dress falls softly from the waist, balanced by voluminous sleeves and a subtle opening through the bodice.
Each piece is individually tied and dyed using the centuries-old tradition of Bandhani, leaving behind the small resist-dyed motifs characteristic of the craft. Madder and sappanwood create its deep, luminous red, with subtle variations that reveal the hand of the process.
Named for the Sanskrit word sūtra — thread. A reference to the threads that form a garment, the traditions carried through them, and the ones that lead us home.
