Leela Set
Faded Indigo Ikat
A two-piece silhouette cut in 100% cotton Ikat. The Leela Set pairs a square-neck cropped top with voluminous sleeves and an open back, finished with two ties that allow the fit to be adjusted through the body. The coordinating high-waisted mini skirt gathers into a soft knot at the front, creating an asymmetric drape across the leg.
The Ikat is woven in Telangana, South India, using the traditional process of resist-dyeing the yarns before they reach the loom. The pattern is formed through the alignment of those dyed yarns as they are woven, creating the softened, imperfect edges that distinguish Ikat from a surface print.
In Faded Indigo, ivory moves through the softened blue-grey weave, giving the pattern its rhythm while allowing the construction of the set—the open back, exaggerated sleeves and gathered skirt—to take shape around the body.
Named for the Sanskrit word līlā — divine play. A piece made with that spirit in mind: feminine, expressive, a little unexpected, and meant to be moved in.
