Red Bandhani
A fluid, maxi-length silhouette defined by a sculptural twist at the center of the body. Cut in a modal-silk blend, the Sutra Dress falls softly from the waist, balanced by voluminous sleeves and a subtle opening through the bodice.
Each piece is individually tied by hand before dyeing, creating the small resist-dyed motifs characteristic of Bandhani. Madder and sappanwood create its rich red tone, with subtle variations in colour and pattern from piece to piece.
Named for the Sanskrit word sūtra — thread. A reference to the threads that form a garment, the traditions carried through them, and the ones that lead us home.
